Show Update – End of 2020

Thanks for the update. Hope that you have a well earned holiday and that family stuff works out as well as it can for you. Really looking forward to the post January episodes as we’re nicely in the middle of my favourite period!

You do such a great job, and this podcast is massively appreciated by someone who loves history and wants to learn more about Egypt. Health and family take priority though, so I hope things are all right, and I look forward to hearing the rest of the story from you when you return.

We are nearing the end of March 2021 and I only started listening to your incredible podcast a couple of months ago. I’m getting close to episode 40 and am finding it absolutely enthralling. I have had a particularly difficult year as I lost my husband after 56 years of marriage last September. In 2019 and 2020 we made trips to Egypt (Luxor and Cairo) and I have been trying to fill some of my time since January by learning more about ancient Egypt. Your podcast has been a blessing. I have learnt so much that I never knew before, and all in such a clear and interesting way. It continues to give me a focus and something stimulating to fill some of the endless hours.
I do hope that all’s well with you and your family and I look forward to getting to the episodes about Akhenaten, as I have always found him and his times to be utterly fascinating. In the meantime, I am working my way through ancient Egyptian history in a methodical and interesting way.
